Delete Shopify Account

In order to delete your Shopify account, you will need to go to Settings > Account. On the Account settings page, scroll down to the bottom and click the Delete account button. You will then be asked to enter your password to confirm that you want to delete your account. Once you’ve done this, your Shopify account will be deleted and you will no longer have access to it.

If you’re certain that you want to delete your Shopify account, then you can follow the steps below. Please note that once you delete your account, it cannot be recovered.

Before you delete your account

Step 1: Download your store’s data

In order to avoid losing important data, we recommend downloading a copy of your store’s data before deleting your account. To do this, go to Settings > Export.

Step 2: Cancel your Shopify plan

If you’re still on a paid Shopify plan, then you’ll need to cancel it before you can delete your account. To do this, go to Settings > Plan and permissions, and then click the Cancel plan button.

Step 3: Delete your Shopify account

Once you’ve followed the steps above, you can delete your Shopify account by going to Settings > Account. On the Account settings page, scroll down to the bottom and click the Delete account button.

You will then be asked to enter your password to confirm that you want to delete your account. Once you’ve done this, your Shopify account will be deleted and you will no longer have access to it.

Can I recover my Shopify account after deleting it?

No, once you delete your Shopify account it cannot be recovered. We recommend downloading a copy of your store’s data before deleting your account to avoid losing important information.

Why can’t I delete my Shopify account?

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to delete your Shopify account:

-You’re still on a paid Shopify plan: You will need to cancel your Shopify plan before you can delete your account. To do this, go to Settings > Plan and permissions, and then click the Cancel plan button.

-You haven’t downloaded a copy of your store’s data: We recommend downloading a copy of your store’s data before deleting your account to avoid losing important information.

If you’re sure you want to delete your Shopify account, then you can follow the steps below. Please note that this action is irreversible and will result in the deletion of all your data, including products, orders, customers, and settings.

To delete your Shopify account:

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.

2. Click Settings in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.

3. Under Account settings, click Plan and permissions.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Delete account.

5. Enter your password and click Delete <your store name> to confirm.

Deleting your Shopify account is a permanent action. Once you delete your account, you will not be able to recover any of your data.

Before you begin

There are a few things to keep in mind before you delete your Shopify account:

Back up your data: Before you delete your Shopify account, we recommend that you backup your data. This way, you’ll have a copy of your data if you decide to create a new Shopify store in the future.

Cancel any paid apps: If you have any paid apps installed on your Shopify store, make sure to cancel them before you delete your account. Once you delete your Shopify account, you will no longer have access to these apps.

Step 1: Delete your shop’s data

  • The first step is to delete all of the data from your Shopify account. To do this:
  • From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > General.
  • In the Store details section, click Delete store.
  • In the dialog that appears, enter DELETE into the field to confirm that you want to delete your data, then click Delete store.

Step 2: Close your Shopify account

  • Once you’ve deleted your shop’s data, the next step is to close your Shopify account. To do this:
  • From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Account.
  • In the Store status section, click Close store.
  • In the dialog that appears, enter CLOSE into the field to confirm that you want to close your account, then click Close store.
