Disable or Hide ‘Reading List’ From Chrome Bookmark
There’s a feature in Google Chrome that allows you to add pages to your ‘Reading List’ so you can access them later. However, if you don’t use it or want to keep others from seeing the list, here’s how to disable or hide it.
To disable the ‘Reading List’ feature, simply right click on the Bookmarks bar and uncheck the option “Show Reading List”. That’s it. If you want to hide the section but keep the feature enabled, you can drag and drop it to another location on the bookmark bar. For example, you can put it at the end of the bookmark bar. If you want to completely remove the ‘Reading List’ section from Chrome, you will need to delete or rename the file “reading_list.db” which is located in the “Default” folder. Once you have located and renamed the “reading_list.db” file, restart Google Chrome and the ‘Reading List’ section will be gone.
