Google Chrome users can now enjoy a dark mode by enabling the ‘Inspect Element’ feature in Developer Tools. The dark mode is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers, and it will be available for all users of Google Chrome on March 26th.

Google Chrome has a new feature called Dark Mode that is enabled by default. But, you can also enable it on your PC.

Dark Mode has become the latest cool feature on all platforms. It’s in every program, and even operating systems now have a built-in dark mode option.

There isn’t a straightforward method to access dark mode if your workflow includes Google services like Drive, Docs, and so on. You can activate Google Drive Dark Mode and Dark Mode across many other Google services on your PC with a few techniques.

Chrome Flags in Action

Chrome Flags are Google’s experimental features that they want people to try out. They may become permanent features in the future, but for now, you can turn on Google Drive dark mode here.

Actually, it turns on dark mode for all of the online sites you visit in Chrome. So here’s how you do it:

Step 1: In Chrome, open a new browser and copy and paste the following into the URL box, then press enter:

chrome:/flags

Step 2: On the new page, enter “Force Dark” into the search box, and “Force Dark Mode for Web Contents” will appear in the results. 

Step 3: Select Enabled from the drop-down option. 

Step 4: To make the changes take effect, click Relaunch at the bottom of the page. 

Step 5: Now open Google Drive and you’ll see that the dark theme has been activated. 

This is one of the most secure methods for enabling Google Drive dark mode on a computer. 

Adding Extensions to Your Browser 

Browser extensions are available for Chrome and other browsers such as Firefox and Edge, and you may use them to activate Google Drive Dark Mode. On Google Chrome, here’s how to accomplish it:

Go to Chrome Web Store in the first step.

Step 2: In the left-hand search box, type “Dark Mode” and press enter.

Step 4: Select any popular and well rated extension from the search results.

Step 3: Next, choose Settings.

Step 4: Select a theme from the drop-down menu under Theme. 

Step 5: Select Dark from the drop-down menu.
