Move favorites on iPhone in 3 clicks
If you’ve been an iPhone user for a while, you know that there are certain contacts and apps that you use more frequently than others. In iOS 11, Apple made it easier to keep these favorites at the top of your list by allowing you to move them with just a few clicks. Tap and hold on the app or contact that you want to move. Drag it to the location that you want it to be in. Lift your finger off of the screen. Your favorite will now stay put at the top of your list, making it easy for you to find and use it when you need it.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Tap on “General.” Tap on “iPhone Storage.” Tap on the app or contact that you want to move. Drag it to the new location. Lift your finger off of the screen.
You can also move multiple items at once by tapping and holding on one, then tapping on the others you want to select. Use your fingers to move them all to the new location. When you’re finished, lift your finger off of the screen. Your favorites will now stay put at the top of your list!
How to move favorites on iphone

- Scroll down to the bottom of the list and tap on “Favorites.”
- Tap on the app or contact that you want to move.
- Drag it to the new location.

Select “My Contacts Backup”
- Select “My Contacts Backup.”
- Tap on the contact that you want to move.
- Drag it to the location that you want it to be in.
- Lift your finger off of the screen.
- Tap on the blue “Back Up Now” button in the top-right corner of the screen
- Tap on the blue “Back Up Now” button in the top-right corner of the screen. This will back up your contacts to iCloud, so that you can access them from any device.
- Your favorites will now stay put at the top of your list, making it easy for you to find and use them when you need them!
Once the backup has completed, open the Settings app again
Once the backup has completed, open the Settings app again. Scroll down to the “Favorites” section and tap on “Contacts.” Tap on the contact that you want to move and drag it to the location that you want it to be in. Lift your finger off of the screen and your favorite will now stay put at the top of your list!
