As of March 1st, 2019, Shopify has made some changes to their pricing plans. In this article, we’ll break down what those changes are and how they might affect your business. Shopify has long been a popular ecommerce platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs. One of the things that makes it so attractive is its simple pricing structure. There are three main plans to choose from, each with its own set of features and price point.

The Basic Shopify plan starts at $29 per month and gives you the ability to sell an unlimited number of products, use a custom domain name, and access 24/7 customer support. The Shopify plan starts at $79 per month and gives you everything in the Basic plan, plus additional features like gift cards and professional reports.

The Advanced Shopify plan starts at $299 per month and gives you everything in the Shopify plan, plus advanced features like abandoned cart recovery and advanced report builder. As of March 1st, 2019, Shopify has made some changes to their pricing plans. In this article, we’ll break down what those changes are and how they might affect your business.

The biggest change is to the Advanced Shopify plan, which is now $349 per month, a $50 increase from the previous price of $299. This change affects all new customers signing up for the Advanced Shopify plan after March 1st, 2019. If you’re already on the Advanced Shopify plan, your price will remain the same until your next billing cycle, at which point you’ll be charged the new rate of $349 per month.

Shopify has been one of the most popular ecommerce platforms for a while now. And it’s no wonder why. It’s easy to use, has tons of features and is very reasonably priced.  However, nothing stays the same forever. Prices change, features are added and removed. And Shopify is no exception.  In this article, we’ll take a look at the latest Shopify pricing changes and see how they compare to the previous pricing structure.

Pricing Plans

Shopify has four main pricing plans:

Basic Shopify – $29 per month

Shopify – $79 per month

Advanced Shopify – $299 per month

Shopify Plus – Custom pricing, starts at $2000 per month

The biggest change is the removal of the “Professional” plan which was previously $99 per month. This plan is now replaced by the “Advanced Shopify” plan which is $299 per month.

The main difference between the Professional and Advanced Shopify plans is that the latter includes advanced report builder and third-party calculated shipping rates.  The “Basic Shopify” and “Shopify” plans remain unchanged at $29 and $79 per month respectively.

Shopify Discounts

Another change is the way Shopify offers discounts. Previously, Shopify offered a 10% discount if you paid for a whole year in advance.  Now, they’ve changed it so that you get a 2% discount if you pay for two years in advance, and a 4% discount if you pay for three years in advance.

The monthly price remains the same, it’s just that you get a bigger discount if you pay for more years upfront.  Shopify also used to offer a 14-day free trial. However, this is no longer the case. Now they only offer a 3-day free trial.

Pricing Changes

All in all, the latest Shopify pricing changes are not too significant. The main change is the removal of the Professional plan and the addition of the Advanced Shopify plan.
